About the project
Pocket to Possibility is an initiative by two Teach For India Fellows dedicated to helping students and their families make informed decisions about education, careers, and financial literacy. Through classroom sessions, fellow collaborations, and parent workshops, we strive to make financial literacy and career awareness more accessible while equipping families with the knowledge and confidence to build stronger pathways to higher education and future opportunities.
Our Mission
To make financial literacy a lived, everyday practice in households across Kolkata, with parents leading the conversation at home.
Our Approach
Parent-led workshops focused on budgeting, child savings accounts, small monthly saving habits, and community circles that meet parents where they are.
Our Communities
We work with families and schools in Kolkata, meeting parents in the spaces they already gather in.
Our Belief
Parents, especially women, are the financial anchors of every home. When they learn, the whole family moves forward together.
